Just a Flicker of Vulnerablity
With almost 9,000 subscribers, boh3m3 is a Youtube “celebrity”. In this video podcast, boh3m3 (pronounced “bow-hem”) confesses that there may be no point to what he is doing and questions the meaningful purpose of his video logs.
Boh3m3 started posting his signature videos 3 months ago, because he wanted to “put stuff out there” that he “would want to watch”. The 21 year old lives in Huntsville, Alabama where he works as a waiter. boh3m3’s videos are simple, black and white with the same familiar bedroom background. He is an everyday achiever who happened to develop a massive web following.
This recent post is an introspective that applies to the entire online blogging community. Emotional and depressing, it feels like the confession of a recent grad. or the victim a bad break up. In three days this post generated 1,200 comments. After reading a majority of these comments, boh3m3 has decided to "stick with it" as expressed in his most recent post "re-invention". I have included the more recent post in this posting where Boh3m3 explains his new plan to stay fullfilled with his popular usergenerated channel.
