Taxiplasm Video Podcasts
I get terribly excited when I find a cool podcast. Much more than I would with finding a cool short or music video.
The excitement for podcasts, specifically video podcasts, comes from the future relationship I will have with this artist. Most times with a short, you rarely peer into their creator’s lives, you will no knowledge of them outside of that one work. It is a cold genre in many ways. The only potential way to meet them is at festivals which is cool but in a very different way.
But in podcasts, whether I am watching or creating something to be watched, the relationship between watcher and creator is at the heart of the experience. In a sense, a friendship is formed and will continue to grow.
Taxiplasm is one of the video podcasts I hope to have this kind of relationship with. Beautiful, often abstract, meditative and, at times, even gets in your face.
Handpicked episodes:
Unearth – A discovery of bodies
Root – Childhood trauma
Birthday vertigo – Hard to describe but it is fascinating.
