Graveyard Jamboree
The short combines three animation techniques: puppetry, silhouette animation and stop motion. The result is at the same time "old school" and refreshing.
The song is Mysterious Mose, by Walter Doyle, as performed by the great banjoist Harry Reser and his Radio All-Star Novelty Orchestra. The song was used in an early cartoon by Dave Fleischer, featuring the character who will later become Betty Boop.
The movie has been directed by Mark Caballero and Seamus Walsh. They're now working mostly on Adult Swim animated series like Robot Chicken and Moral Orel.
In 2002 Seamus and Mark helped one of their heroes, Ray Harryhausen, to restore and complete a film he had begun nearly 50 years before: The Tortoise and the Hare. Their hard work paid off and the film received the Annie Award in 2003 for outstanding short subject. (Source: ka-chew)
