A really intriguing visual experience, this project started as a film to accompany a performance by the London Sinfonietta of Edgard Varese’s Ionisation.

What seems like a cutting edge, fast paced series of abstact animations, actually turns out to be a series of mechanical devices. The editing and the photography does the trick.

But there’s more, much more than just a trick here. Really.
