A quick look at some of today's top online video headlines:

Big Mouth Media: The European Commission is the latest government body to take advantage of the immense popularity of the online video sharing medium, by launching its own YouTube channel.

Tech.co.uk: New figures have been released which show that YouTube is wiping the floor with other online video rivals. The US stats show that the site has more market share than the 64 next-largest sites combined.

Wall Street Journal: How do you know when an online word-of-mouth campaign is successful? When the campaign itself becomes a revenue generator.

PC World: Later this year some LG cell phones, available worldwide, will be able to view and upload videos to YouTube.

Pacificepoch: Myspace founder invests in Chinese online video sites Mofile.com and Hubotv.com.

Bloggingstocks.com: In spite of the trend in the advertising industry to multi-platform ad buys mixed between TV, the Internet and mobile, the majority of the ad sales for the fall have been slated for TV, with minimal digital ads on the Internet sold separately.

Multichannel: NBC Universal will merge its video-content-aggregation and distribution service, NBBC, into its new broadband co-venture with News Corp.
