Golly, it looks like Brookers has found her way back into the spotlight. Brookers returns to the spontaneous, whacky shtick that the YouTube community fell in love with.
Brookers applies a YouTube-loving twist to the popular Citibank identity theft commercials. In this video, her second to be released this month, it appears that the ce-web-rity may be on the company payroll...
Since she was signed by Carson Daly's production company in June of this year, Brookers has crossed media platforms
and attracted attention from the press and television circuits. Absent
from the viral scene since late summer, the “gap-toothed girl” still
attracts hundreds of thousands of eyeballs in the viral community.
Claiming she made this spoof “for fun,” Brookers uses professional lighting and sound equipment and a flash-animated YouTube graphic in her latest vid. Could Brookers be using her newly acquired resources to thank the web site that made her a star? Possibly. But it seems more likely that YouTube shelled out some bucks to get the gal to create an ad -- masked as a funny little video - to release on her all-time "Most Viewed" and "Most Subscribed" channel.
We recently reported that Coca-Cola commissioned holiday greetings from top 'Tubers, so we wouldn't be terribly surprised to learn that the video-sharing site is using its own talent for a little in-house promotion...
