As reported last week in Variety, Barats and Bereta signed an overall deal with NBC Universal Television Studio based on rampant popularity of their YouTube channel (currently #29 on the infamous "Most Viewed Channels" list.)

In fact, the NBC deal is just the latest gust in what Barats describes as the "whirlwind of attention" that he and Bereta have encountered since they signed on to YouTube a mere nine months ago. Early this summer, Barats and Bereta received a call at their Spokane, Wash. offices from Dan Farah of Farah Films & Management; he'd just watched Mother's Day, one of their most popular videos, and liked what he saw.

The rest is history. Representation at CAA quickly followed, then the NBC deal. But the youthful duo remains seemingly nonplussed. Barats and Bereta have no plans to leave Spokane -- they met at Gonzaga University (lovingly referenced in an early video) and quickly became partners in stand-up and improv -- for Hollywood.
