Additionally, Broadcasting & Cable reports, the winning entry will appear on the channel's late night show "Web Shows," that includes online content from the network. Submissions will be accepted from June 1st to July 10th, and "staff picks" will be featured on comedycentral.com and atomfilms.com. Execs will choose four finalists to be voted on by comedycentral.com users. Last year's winner, "Awesome Friends," received a six-episode broadband deal and is being featured on the network.
"'We're excited to once again tap into Comedy Central’s creative and imaginative audience," said Lou Wallach, senior VP of original programming and development for Comedy Central in a statement. "Comedy Central Test Pilots evens out the playing field and lets anyone with a voice, video camera, computer and spark of creativity the opportunity to get their pilots on the desktops of our development executives.”
