New Web Video Directory Vidzapper Launched
A press release from the British firm says that the site will provide a "single interface" for a wide range of video channels all around the Web, combining large services like CBS and the BBc, with smaller indie channels, all of which are "pre-vetted" by the company.
The service claims to be sort of a filter, in the sense that the channels have all been selected and rated, cutting away the chaff and recommending what its editors think are the top quality outlets. From the release:
"There's lots of video available on the internet," says Vidzapper representative Ian Poole. "But it's difficult to find and to navigate and not all of it's so great. At Vidzapper we aim to sort out the best content for our viewers."
"We also provide advice on how to watch Internet TV on your television and how to record streaming programs."
