Video of Girl's Beating Turns Up Online, Prompts Arrests
Three teenage girls from Long Island have been arrested after a video of them beating a girl was posted on MySpace and YouTube. In the clip, the 13-year-old girl, who didn't tell her parents about the assault for weeks, cowers on the ground while being repeatedly kicked by her attackers.
An Associated Press article said the fight was over a love triangle, and the victim came to meet thinking that the dispute would be settled. As they fled the scene, the girls accused of the attack continued to videotape themselves, laughing and boasting about the situation.
One of the group appears to complain that she had dropped her Chinese food during the fight.

I'm writing to you because of the story about three girls beating one girl, videotaping it, and then posting it on websites like YouTube and Photobucket. There are many videos out there like this: where more than one person is beating up another, and it's videotaped.
I found another video where these two girls jump another one, and the one that was being beaten stabbed one girl out of self-defense--but before that, she was getting beaten viciously (punched, kicked, hair pulled, held down, thrown to the ground, etc). If you watch the video, you'll see that there are a bunch of guys standing around, watching this, and no one is helping the victim. I know the North Babylon, Long Island is one incident, but there are many more like this--such as the one I just mentioned. I also know it might be impossible to go after every video, but some of them, like the one I described, are horrendous.
I want the girl in the video (the one where she was trying to defend herself against two girls and a bunch of guys sat there watching the whole thing) to have justice. Not only did she have to defend herself against two girls, but when she had the knife to defend herself, practically the whole crowd went after her. This is horrible, and the people who bullied and beat this girl deserve to be punished--just like those three girls from North Babylon. My request is to find out if this video can be made public or sent to the FBI so that justice can be served.
At the end of this message, I'm posting the video link. It hurts to watch and it is very sad. I know it hurts me to watch it, but I can't even imagine what it must be like for the girl who was being beaten. And yes, this fight was over a guy too. I inferred this when one girl said something along the lines of "keep your legs closed."
My request is that someone get back to me on this or put this in the news so that the perpetrators can be brought to justice. I wanted to do something, to help out in some way, and I felt this would be the best way to do it. I don't know where the video is taking place, but it must be recent because on YouTube, it says the video was put up one week ago. If you can help out in any way, shape, or form, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
