Beginning this March, Facebook and Comcast will ask their users to submit videos about their lives to Comcast’s video-hosting site, Ziddio.com. The best videos and stories will pulled from these user submissions and edited into ten half-hour episodes. The show, titled Facebook Diaries, will begin airing later this year and will be streamed on both Comcast’s and Facebook's websites and will be available through Comcast television’s video-on-demand.

Produced by the Emmy-winning director, R.J. Cutler, Facebook Diaries will combine users stories and experiences to create a narrative docu-drama. Users will be encouraged to submit videos around themes such as "Who am I," "Heartbreak," and "Life During Wartime," said Facebook's Cutler.

According to an article in USA Today, Comcast and Facebook made no comment on the deal. But, Facebook's Chief Operating Officer, Owen Van Natta, said there will be "sponsorship and advertising opportunities." Besides potential ad revenue, the partnership is also expected to expand Facebook's video-sharing capabilities and drive traffic to Comcast’s Ziddio.com.
