Online celebs such as LisaNova, Renetto, and geriatric1927 are featured in the program and have crafted original "v-cards," which YouTube users can send to friends and family. Users also have the option of sending videos from their own collections, or uploading new video greetings to share.

From the official press release:

"The Coca-Cola Holiday WishCast gives friends and families a new way to communicate this holiday season," said Tim Kopp, Vice President of Global Interactive Marketing, The Coca-Cola Company. "It is the latest evolution in the development of Coca-Cola.com following the re-launch of the site in July 2006 that included user-generated content and the addition of digital music downloads in August. We continue to give people new ways to express themselves and connect with others online. Partnering with YouTube helps us bring creative content to a broader community. "

The Holiday Wishcast campaign, which The Daily Reel first alluded to earlier this week, marks the first time YouTube has brokered a deal between its top content creators and an outside corporation. The Wishcast partnership not only shares eyeballs but also distributes traffic between the two sites. The video greetings are sent and uploaded through YouTube; when the message lands in an inbox, the recipient clicks through to the Coca-Cola site to watch.

No word yet on which videos are being sent the most, or if users instead prefer to upload their own personal greetings, but we'll have more information as this story develops....
