YouTube User Takes Hit for New Sopranos Viewers
While many Americans are observing Easter weekend, a smaller (though substantial) number are celebrating the resurrection of HBO's The Sopranos. The heralded show, which began in 1999, is finally entering its home stretch, which will surely culminate in one of the most talked-about (and scrutinized) conclusions television has ever aired.
But what about for those who haven't kept up with Tony and Carmella? Those hype-chasers who want to engage in the water cooler finale-speculation without doing the grunt work of watching the series' 77 hours of groundbreaking television. Well personally, I'd say whack em. You're missing out on the second best show ever -- after HBO's The Wire, of course.
However, for all the loyal viewers of The Sopranos who need a little refresher course on just how intense, graphic, complex, existential, emotional, and epic the series has been, this 7-minute refresher made by YouTube media-savant Paul Gulyas is the perfect shot of adrenaline to perk up for the penultimate episodes. The sheer work ethic it took to compile this lengthy trailer is enough to make Gulyas a made guy. Thanks for the memories.
The Sopranos airs Sunday night at 9 PM on HBO.
