This clip deviates from others because the featured actress was an Oscar winner both before and after this was filmed.

Meryl Streep, up to her neck in it.

I actually like Death Becomes Her, but the dark comedy is not one of Meryl Streep's most dignified performances -- she spends most of the movie shrieking at a badly-toupeed Bruce Willis about her lost youth.

The special effects wizardry that gives Meryl a neck of silly putty holds up well. But one is forced to wonder: at some point during the application of make-up and green screen, did Ms. Streep look down at the shovel with which she was dueling, and wonder if this was the choice Sophie might have made.
