Here's the thing about Ryan Gosling: he's a stand-up guy. When Rachel McAdams doesn't write him back in The Notebook, he still goes ahead and fixes up that house. In The Believer, he's the nicest neo-Nazi there ever was. Even when he's killing all those people in Murder by Numbers, you can tell that he doesn't really mean it.
So as the eponymous lead in the hit Canadian series Young Hercules, it hardly comes as a surprise that Gosling lets sidekick Iolaus sing lead in their hot new rock band. Just this once, it's Iolaus the girls cheer for, ignoring Young Herc's wicked lyre rock style. But when you're a teen god, you don't mind that sort of thing. When you're Gosling, that's just what you do.
