MARILYN MANSON, EVERY DAD'S WORST NIGHTMARE

Marilyn Manson decided to premiere his new video on the Web, and after watching it's easy to see why. This is one clip that definitely falls under the "Not Safe for Kids" category. Just like Mr. Manson.
The video for the single "Heart Shaped Glasses," stars Manson and his new squeeze, 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood. And they are getting it on, I mean really getting it on. (The camera never ventures below the waist, but Wood's screams seem rather, um, genuine.) The eight-minute clip made its world premiere on the German Web site Sevenload on Tuesday.
Aside from the shock value of simulated sex (some of which features the two lovebirds drenched in blood), the clip certainly has some aesthetic merit, featuring rich, red visuals and a Lynchian tone -- think of it as a homage to hearts: Wild at Heart, Angel Heart, and Lolita. Ms. Wood's heart-shaped glasses of the title are an obvious homage to Mr. Nabokov.
Then again, many will come away thinking it's just cheap shlock.
Whatever your opinion, you'll probably agree that Ms. Wood's days as a cherubic Hollywood teen are certainly in the rearview mirror.

hi, my name is karissa, im 12 years old. marilyn manson is my fuckn god, to really understand his songs, u have to kinda live though what he tlks about, the suicde,depression, shit like, that is shit evry1 deals with i know, but when ur living though it day after day, its nice to know some1 like manson knows what its like, so he sings bout it and puts the subjects in a point of view to where maybe people might understand what ur going though and might stop there shit. yes i know its just a fanatcy, mostly because people is too god damn tangled in thier self. manson howevr understands what its like, so for all us depressed misunderstod people, manson is our god, he relieves our pain. In my opinion Marilyn Manson is a normal human being just like evertone else on earth he isn't better then us and we aren't better then him. His songs are amazinlg Filled with powerful messages that should be heard.
I think he made a bold move with his new album, he basically opened the door and invited the world to experience his thoughts and feelings. I like the fact that marilyn manson stands up for what he truely beleives is right.
I look up to him for thease reasons and also the buggest reason of all, he may not know this, but he saved my life, I hope he realizes that his music really gets to people, his lyrics gave me something other than killing myself to think about.
And I thank him for that I would have missed out on my eight grade graduation, although I didn't get asked to grad I'm still glad I could go.
