Viacom May Sue YouTube, But Pirated "South Park" is Forever
If you think Viacom's $1 billion legal smackdown against YouTube will deprive you of your daily dose of such Viacom pirated content as "South Park" or "The Colbert Report," think again.
At least two dozen clips from South Park (including entire episodes, from the "South Park Christmas Special" to the hilarious "Warcraft spoof") are available, for the time being, at Veoh. More than 70 clips of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report as well as hundreds of clips from other Viacom property such as MTV Unplugged and Ren and Stimpy -- which are specifically highlighted in Viacom's lawsuit -- are also widely presented on the site for your illegal perusal.
Also, a recent Blinkx search for South Park turned up dozens of results from other upload websites such as MySpace, Addicting Clips, Sony's Grouper.com, and Daily Motion.
If you think downloading illegal content is no big deal, just check out this highly illuminating pirated clip from South Park about the dangers of downloading and how it can impact the lives of struggling artists such as Britney Spears. Just extend the analogy to a beleaguered little company like Viacom and you, too, may never watch pirated Viacom videos again.
