REELEDin is NOW!
Hello online filmmakers and watchers, and welcome to REELEDin! My name is Spencer Somers, the managing editor of REELEDin, and I speak for the whole staff of The Daily Reel when I say, we are incredibly excited to have you here. This site was built with the idea in mind that online video is as legit a form of media as film or TV, and getting paid for it is not that far off, in fact for a lot of people, it's now.
REELEDin puts you, the user, in a unique spot to schmooze and connect with your peers, as well bump elbows with industry elite, and corporate bigwigs. Right now, these upper crusters are looking towards you online filmmakers to bring their products and projects towards a new resonance. Old media is flailing, new media is growing.
At REELEDin, you will be at the epicenter of this quake, but like college or relationships, it depends solely on what you make of it. Filmmaking has never had a community, or dare I say it, a commune, where filmmakers can work together to help each other improve and play show and tell to specifically those who matter. This isn't YouTube; this isn't about getting a million views, though please do! This is about business and artistic development.
To all the filmmakers who wish they could find the camaraderie of Spielberg, Coppola Scorsese and Lucas, or Cuaron, Innaritu, and Del Toro, this is really your chance. Find your favorite filmmakers on REELEDin, add them as contacts, invite them to a crew, start talking about eachother's work, start discussing possible collaborations...Anything is possible.
