The Extraordinary Tourist

I reely (mis-spelling intended) don't know what to make of this site but now I'm here, thanks to Nalts and his blog mentioning this site I may as well introduce myself.

I am The Extraordinary Tourist, otherwise known as TET. I'm based in South Australia, where I create art, write and make short videos. My videos are predominantly about art including work in progress films, art comedy and art business (with the occasional puppet comedy video thrown in).

I do just about everything in my low budget pieces created with the cheapest of web cams and a dinosaur of a laptop (though fortunately it's still a youngish dinosaur).

I have no idea how this 'Link to video' box below the comment box works or where it will place the link to my video. If you do and know where to find the link, click it and be rewarded with my latest art video.

Maybe I'll talk to you soon.

Los Angeles Film Festival: Some great films

I saw three films at the Festival: Razzle Dazzle - a mockumentary about an Australian dance contest for kids; Resolved - a documentary about high school debate; and Constantine's Sword - a documentary about the troubled relationship between Jews and Christians over the centuries. All were very good. The two documentaries were excellent. Hopefully, they will al get picked up. Two of the films were at the brand new Landmark theatres and unfortunately, there were projection problems at both. But overall, excellent programming.

Hey All.

The lovely Michelle and I will be in NYC this weekend for the YouTube meetup in washington square park. Be on the lookout for two hotties -- one in cowboy boots, one who's just hot -- with a cameraman. We're about to hop on a JetBlue red-eye but hope to see you all there!

Bye Bye Burger! was conceived with the help of many in the Greencard family. It was director Mike Sobo’s thesis film at New York University, where he collaborated with many students to achieve the gorgeous look and feel of this film. His brother, Dan Sobo wrote and composed all of the hilarious musical numbers and the film was co-written with Preston Spurlock who also animated sequences in the film.

Thanks everyone!

Final Draft Dependent: Changing Elements

I use Final Draft for pretty much all of my dramatic writing needs, including playwriting -- but this means that I have to occasionally fiddle around with my elements settings in order to get the formatting to my liking. This never goes particularly smoothly, though, especially when it comes to font changes. How do you customize your Final Draft? Or have you tried and failed? Any success at making a custom template? Because if you've succeeded at making a custom template, I want to know more.
