If you haven't heard, iThentic has teamed up with SHORTSNONSTOP to introduce a film festival that takes place year round! Six times a year, 10 finalists will be selected by our programmers for promotion and distribution by TELUS on its mobile networks in Canada. Our esteemed Jury of industry professionals will select one filmmaker in each prize period to be awarded a cash prize of $1000 (that’s six $1000 prizes in 2007/08.) All categories and genres of short film are accepted, including drama,
comedy, animation, horror, sci-fi, documentary, experimental and music

The Treo Mobile Comedy Film Festival, the film festival with a funny twist, is looking for submissions. Deadline is September 24th.

Entries will be accepted from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. All entrants must be 18 or over.

Great prizes including $5,000 cash prize, a mobile filmmaking toolkit, plus travel and accommodations for the October 18th Los Angeles gala event.

Select films will also be featured during the festival on MobiTV.

After months and months of hard work, our engineering and design teams have finally launched Zannel 2.0 on August 22nd, 2007. The new and improve makeover of the site now has a new fresh and slick look to give users a better experience using Zannel. Zannel new look is not the only thing that have been changed to the site. With the new look, it came with the text conversions support where threads can be started about the videos and pictures on Zannel.

Equipped with tools such as send to friend(s) email or mobile phones and the embed players on the web are by far the easiest way to share videos and pictures.

Zannel are currently working with companies such as Warner Bros, My Damn Channel, Ripe Tv, The Daily Reel and more to get their videos onto the mobile world and featuring them on the homepage.
