Santa Claus is Being Sued!

This morning a class action lawsuit was filed against Santa Claus over the discriminatory nature of the naughty and nice list. Disgruntled parents from across the globe have banded together to fight what the suit terms as "discrimination and oppression."

The prosecution had even stronger words. "The case is not only examining the fairness of the list, but the inter-workings of the holiday as a whole. Think about it, here we have an old man with a beard who breaks into your house, eats your food, and leaves presents for your kids."
While the entire world watches for the results of this groundbreaking case, the greater holiday community into a general panic. If Christmas isn't safe from lawsuits, is Halloween next?

Distribution: DVDs On Demand (CreateSpace)

I'm usually a little late to pick up on new things but I found out about CreateSpace.com last week and it looks a little too good to be true...

Back in the glory days some of you may remember that MP3.com had a CD on demand service where you could upload your music tracks and art work and they would take care of producing one-off copies of your CD for customers who ordered through their site. It was a great little no hassle way for independent artists to be able to sell their music with no overhead; my "A Didgeridoo Christmas" did quite well seasonally, but I digress.

It seems that CreateSpace.com is doing the same thing with CDs as well as DVDs and books. And what's more is they're owned by Amazon.com which means that not only can you create your own online store to sell DVDs through your site but your titles will also be available on Amazon.

Is this all too good to be true? Cut out the middle man and sell your videos directly to your audience with no overhead? If anybody has had any experience with https://www.createspace.com please share!

RNDLive: the innis mode, finally realized

So here's the project: to create a matrix of windows that contain live video from around the planet (or even off-planet). The video will be environmental, observational, low key, discreet. Each window will be synchronized (by extracting IRIG or SMPTE timecode from GPS) with the others. The aggregate effect will be an illustration of concurrent natural processes, from which the viewers may (or may not!) infer something about interconnectedness.
