I don't know about Webcams specifically, but the biggest trouble people have using Greenscreen on video cameras is little blocks of green that are hard to get rid of on the edges of your subject. This is because even really good video cameras have lower-resolution green color information, something like half the information. Final Cut pro has a filter called something like "Color Smoothing 4:1:1", found under Video Fitlers/key. That will smooth the green channel (and blue channel) and make it easier to get a smooth edge on your key. Apply the color smoothing filter first, then the keying filter.
Most greenscreen footage I receive was shot in High Definition and I do a similar color smoothing process in Shake. FCP is a good alternative if you don't want to have to learn a separate piece of compositing software.
