TubeMogul To The Rescue?
Up to Daily Reel ComedyTubeMogul To The Rescue?
Ok, so once you've finished creating your latest comedic masterpiece the next question is how do you get it seen by the masses? I'm a big proponent of posting your videos anywhere and everywhere, but I've also got to admit it can be a real pain in the ass to upload a video onto 20 different sites. Finally, somebody's taking steps to remedy that hassle.
Tubemogul has just launched a universal uploader which theoretically allows you to upload your video one time and it will magically appear on seven different video sites (like the Youtube, Myspace, and Revvers of the world). Plus, it also gives you one-stop shopping for tracking your views and assorted other statistics that you use to re-assure yourself of your talent.
Haven't tried the uploader yet myself, but it looks promising. If anybody out there has taken it for a spin already, let us know what you thought of it....
Yeah, I've used VidMetrix to track views from multiple sites before, but does it also allow you to upload to multiple sites at the same time?
As far as I know it does. The multiple upload feature is a new service that they've just launched in the last week or so. I've signed up and read about it but as yet haven't actually uploaded any videos. Visit the site for full details.

Hey, we just started using TubeMogul to track our viewership, and we LOVE it! We used to try to track stats on our own but only minimally because it took so much time. So this is awesome -love the graphs, etc. Haven't used the uploader yet so that's next.
It's too depressing for me. Is it just me, or are views down big time lately on YouTube?

It seems to go up and down quite a bit. Maybe YouTubers are all ADD sufferers? One day all my stats are up the next they're all going down again. Not that I watch the stats that closely. With my level non-celebrity I'm just glad to have anyone watching at all.

I'm beginning to wonder if some days views are way down across the board possibly because of technical failures or something like that. Our views are highest right after posting a new video - that goes without saying, right? But recently we posted a new vid and the views for it soared - then the next day they plunged (way below normal) - then the next day soared again. It just doesn't make sense.

My theory... you know how a view isn't always a view? Sometimes autobots, etc? I wonder if now that you're in the Partners program there isn't more auditing of views since there's commercial implications.
I would've thought YouTube would've been on top of that from day one - or at least since the Google buy out. They may not audit views but they certainly should be capable of auditing ad clicks. I can't imagine any legal need to audit views unless you're getting paid for views now?
