Re: the innis mode, finally realized
Ah, the technical details. Probably something like this:
-Battery or solar powered system
-Encoder on-site; video to MPEG4 or Ogg Theora
-Encoder also embeds timecode
-Uplink with either Ku band or DVB (like the Hughes HN/HX system, www.hns.com )
-Downlink connects to a server, also compares embedded timecode and removes offset (maybe not necessary)
-Webpage contains separate link for each camera; so you can launch 'em all, or just one
