HD-FX1 and iMovie???

I edit my demo reel with iMovie and iDVD does anybody know if the Sony
HD-FX1 camera is compatible with these programs? Can I capture footage
from this camera into iMovie as i have done in the past or is iMovie
outdated at this point. Please e-mail me with your answers. Thank you
