Enter to win over $1500 in cash prizes! Attention all aspiring web video creators: are you tired of uploading your masterpieces to YouTube, only to have them get lost in the shuffle?

The Daily Reel will host ReelFest, a festival of user-generated videos that will be judged by top entertainment industry professionals.

Entries are now being taken and will remain open until October 15th. The Daily Reel’s editorial staff will select five finalists who will be flown to New York City, where their videos will be screened before a select audience of film, entertainment, and media insiders.

“The purpose of BestFest is to bring real industry attention to these videos – which are so wildly popular on the web – and the talented creators who make them,” said Jamie Patricof, producer of critically acclaimed Half Nelson and co-CEO of The Daily Reel. "ReelFest will be the first event to really take online video seriously.”

Final Draft © will sponsor the monthly events, to be held in New York and Los Angeles. In addition to screening the festival finalists, ReelFest will also feature other popular online videos, including Gary Brolsma’s “New Numa” video and Doug Bresler’s “Ask a Ninja.”
