Winning Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, the Dixie Chicks took home the gold in every category for which they were nominated. The countrified pop artists are the first to win album, record and song, since Eric Clapton swept in 1992.

Taking the Long Way Home chronicles the ostracized existence that the Chicks have been living since they alienated a large chunk of their conservative country audience with anti-George Bush remarks. The highly personal and politically powerful album was projected to win several categories, but it was still a bit of a shock to see the Chicks take home three of the “big four” awards.

Here’s a video that sums up the Chicks' undeniable musical prowess and their strong-willed 'tudes.

Well, im a big fan of George Bush and so i think the dixie chicks are rude and sooooo stupid...but there songs are pretty good.
