Apple iPhone Hackers, Here's To You
iPhone hackers of the world, unite! In the battle between Apple and those customers interested in modifying their super-phones, this week Apple drew some blood -- the latest iPhone update relocked any iPhones unlocked by this tutorial. So now is the time for all users to rise up -- or mash up, that is.
Taking the audio from one of Apple's most inspiring (but least grammatically correct) commercials, this video tries to remind Steve Jobs & co. of a time when Apple celebrated those who "think different." Of course, I don't know where Albert Einstein would fall on issues of fair use and intellectual property, so it's a rough comparison. I also kind of wish that there were more to this video than one long continuous scroll down the third-party mods available. It kind of becomes hypnotic after a while, but that's hardly a good thing.
iPhone users interested in sticking it to the man might get more use out of this video explaining how to downgrade their iPhones from 1.1.1 back to 1.0.2. Far more useful, and also far more

Microsoft Surface, Big-Ass Table
Hey, remember when we covered that new ad for Microsoft Surface and said, "That's cool and all, but what is it really, besides the world's fanciest coffee table ever?" Well, apparently, we were not alone.
By simply substituting the ad's original voiceover with one that's, shall we say, gently mocking, the folks from SarcasticGamer have created a parody that pokes some good-natured fun at what exactly it is that you get for that spare $10,000 you may have lying around -- if, of course, your mom, your friends, and all the dining and drinking establishments you frequent also have $10,000 lying around.
The future is a big-ass table! Take that, Apple!

David Hasselhoff's New Wendy's Ad
Here’s what’s curious about this Wendy’s "commercial" crafted from the infamous Drunken Hasselhoff video: it’s actually not a bad Wendy’s commercial. Somehow, they’ve edited out the most repulsive parts of both the Monsieur LeHoff and the Wendy’s burger videos -- the slurring, the drooling, the disintegration into a sodden mess -– and come up with something kind of... sort of... almost... good... ish. I hate to admit it, but watching this really does make me (or at least a small part of me) want to get drunk with David Hasselhoff and order up some Wendy’s. And I don’t even drink. Or like red meat. Disturbing.

Kleenex Gets Greenpeace Punk'd
Kleenex's new ad campaign, encouraging people on the street to collapse into tears for $200 and screen time, preys awfully hard on the modern American weakness for attention. So it's nice to see someone twist that around and point out what really makes them upset -- the Kleenex parent company's destructive environmental practices. Hey, Kimberly-Clark, you're the one who asked these people to let it out, and ancient wood deforestation makes everyone a little upset. Including the planet.

Slob Evolution
A response to the wildly popular Dove Evolution campaign, this video deconstructs the sharp, emaciated features of a male model. Watch as the rocker-esque model transforms into “that guy” who lives next door and never leaves the sofa.
Would you really want to see an ad for this lard-o plastered across your fair city? Created by the campaign against real life, this viral argues that consumerism has created the current standard of unattainable beauty. In reality, nobody wants to see the guy next door, except when he is getting the morning paper and cordially saying hello. So maybe, just maybe, the computerized falsehoods that advertisements project are in everyone's best interest....
