R.E.M. and Van Halen Inducted into Rock Hall of Fame
Last night was the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's induction ceremony. Honoring a select number of artists whose first big single was twenty-five-plus years ago, this year's list of oldies-but-goldies included: Van Halen, R.E.M., Grandmaster Flash, The Ronettes, and Patti Smith. A once-in-a-lifetime rite of passage for aging rockers, magazine magnates, and record executives, this year's ceremony lived up to its mildly-anticipated display of rock tributes and remember-whens.
Big at this year’s induction to the Hall of Fame was the topic of reunion. Original Van Halen front man David Lee Roth reunited with the now “classic”
rock band for the first time since
the Reagan administration. Meanwhile, the cultish-rock band R.E.M. recruited a new drummer for their honoree performance. Despite recent rumors, Billboard magazine reported earlier today that R.E.M. will not be reuniting with original drummer Bill Berry.
For those of you having trouble remembering this year's inductee's big classics, this ConcertTV spot should jog that old memory. Here's to music history!

Happy Shiny People
its really great to see both Grandmaster Flash and REM get in. never thought either one of those two would see much recognition for their music!
