NYC's BRAVEST LET RUDY HAVE IT
Think the New York Fire Department loves mayor-turned-Presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani? Think again. This slick, 12-minute spot -- which was produced by the International Association of Firefighters -- has one objective: that in 2008, its membership votes for anyone but Rudy. Using a combination of talking-head interviews and archival footage from 9/11, the video prevents some compelling evidence that Rudy's primary concern was never the rank-and-file heroes of the Twin Towers tragedy but the health of his own political career. It's certainly agit-prop, passionate stuff, but given the hell these men and their families have endured, it's safe to say that this isn't exactly the Democrat answer to the sordid Swift Boat campaign.
