Borat Before He Was Borat
This video is a pre-Borat character named Christoph who is from Albania. This British TV spot is more than eight years old but features the same kooky guy, same suit, same thick accent that audiences know and love.
This news-style story about Sasha Baron Cohen’s pre-Borat character is a flashback to Ali G “before he was massive.” As hilarious as this behind this vintage behind-the-scenes is, I think it is a statement about the culture of "Infotainment." Even in this early story about the unstaged and unscripted comedy, Cohen's pre-Borat reporter is basically reporting on himself.
With the release of the Borat movie, several legit news sources - such as CNN and Fox News- have let Cohen’s Borat come on for an interview in character. With Cohen sticking to his character for nearly a decade, the real question becomes where does Borat end and Cohen begin?

New Nine Pulled Last Minute
After last week’s episode featured a preview for this week’s slated episode, the new episode will be replaced by a special edition of 20/20. The decision to pull the new episode of the one-hour drama (slated to air on the final day of November sweeps) appears to have been made at the last minute. According to an article in Broadcasting & Cable, there's no word as to what will fill the slot beyond this Wednesday.
Joining the critically acclaimed but low-rated drama, Six Degrees, The Nine appears to be on ABC’s “please open after Christmas” list. On the ABC's Primetime website, the network says The Nine “will return later in the season.”

David Blaine's Latest Stunt
Magician Blaine pulls off another dizzying stunt. He plans to hang over New York's Time Square for 3 days in a gyroscope. At the end of the stunt, he'll "escape" just in time to take one hundred underprivileged children on a holiday shopping spree.
Prior to this stunt, Blaine has lived in a fish bowl for a week, attempted to hold his breath under water for nine minutes while wriggling free of chains, spent forty-four days in a box suspended over the Thames in London, spent sixty-one hours encased in a block of ice and one week buried in a coffin. I admire the effort, I admire the charity... but where is the magic?
