Demetri Martin On YouTube, On YouTube
So, I guess it's official: Demetri Martin is the voice of our generation. Wait. How'd that happen? Was there a memo? A poll on Gawker? Some kind of email forward? I should probably check my spam filter...
Anyways, this very funny take on the Viacom-YouTube lawsuit does actually cover the basic concepts of the situation. Namely, that this is a power scrabble between two multinational conglomerates over who controls the eyeballs of punk kids -- punk kids who no matter what will figure out a way to keep stealing media.
So please enjoy this YouTube clip. Don't whine about it, Daily Show. You can't say you didn't see it coming.
UPDATE: The Demitri Martin clip has been removed from YouTube but is still available on the Viacom owned iFilm.
UPDATE: The clip has its embed feature disabled. Meaning: the clip is only available on the iFilms site, Comedy Central's website, and of course a Tivo near you.

America Ferrera Wins Golden Globe
Hopefully, the acceptance speech of the curvaceous, Honduran femme will send a message to Hollywood about celebrating diversity, both of body type and of ethnicity.
By beating out stick figures like Marcia Cross and Mary-Louise Parker, Ferrara's win makes the most powerful of statements about the triumph of a good spirit over superficiality. Plus, her winning means that we get to see more of her purple dress. And we really like her purple dress. It's pretty.
