Extreme Diet Coke & Mentos Experiments II - Trailer

One of the earliest (circa June!) and most successful viral videos follows up with a long-awaited sequel. While Experiment #1 made a nice chunk of change from its 3.5 million views on Revver, Experiment #2 will debut on Google Video.

The guys at Beet.TV sum up the significance of this distribution deal:

The big story here is not Google's appetite (err thirst) for all content, but the introduction of a unique approach to post-roll advertising. There has been virtually none up to until now. You will find at the end of clip a transparent banner with a hyperlink to the sponsor promotion by Diet Coke.

No matter where Experiment #2 launches, we can't wait to see what Fritz Grobe and Steven Voltz have up their sleeves; if it's anything like their first experiment, Mentos ought to stock their shelves for October 30, when legions of copycat fans attempt to "try this at home."
