This instructional dating video could is most definitely "safe for work." In fact, it could probably be shown at a Christian Youth retreat without ruffling any feathers. Directed by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Jeff Singer, "How To Give a Goodnight Kiss" takes a G-rated approach to its subject matter -- a decision that is entirely appropriate given the target audience: grown-up men who still haven't figured out whether or not they can score a smooch with a date they met online.
In other words, this is the kind of movie that Steve Carell's character from The 40-Year-Old Virgin would watch with rapt attention.
Presented as a series of "what if" scenarios (girl avoiding eye contact, girl going for the handshake, etc.), the short was commissioned and aired by Video Jug, which "hosts one of the world's largest, most all-encompassing libraries of factual content online." So far, its been viewed over 5,000 times and boasts a perfect four-star rating. Production value (it was filmed on HD with a professional crew) is several notches above the norm.
