Jefferson Vs. Adams
Just in time for the 4th of July comes this depiction of one of our nation's greatest idealistic conflicts. Some people might believe the rift between Thomas Jefferson and John Adams was caused by their differing political philosophies (philosophies which ended up evolving into the two-party system which currently defines American governance). The truth? Far more personal than any of us knew.
Inspired by a love of American history and homoeroticism, Team Tiger Awesome invested some serious time and money into recreating the world of the Founding Fathers. "We wanted to make sure that we looked as authentic as possible," says Nick Mundy. "So we watched 1776 about 40 times, and then tried to match the costumes and the locations. We actually did more research on this one then we on all of our previous work, combined." The wigs and costumes were purchased for the production: "And now we have great outfits to wear out dancing."
Did you know Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on the same day? Independence day, 1826! Did you also know that they bickered like little girls?
