A spec video for one of our favorite Joanna Newsom songs. "We had a bunch of old 8mm film reels and somehow it really fit the song nicely," says one of the resourceful filmmakers of Echo Panda, who projected the films onto their fridge and then filmed that with a DV camera. Such resourcefulness!

Wow I'm surprised at how well the music and the images fitted togather even thought they were created in two different worlds so to speak.

It is always interesting to see actual photage of families in the past. The way that they spend time together makes you realize how much our world has changed. And Joanna Newsoms music is so simple and dreamy that the photage adds a really great context and meaning. That little girl is so cute!
