Who is Natalie Cross? Why has she been locked away? And what lengths will she go to in order to shut up her biological clock? On its third episode, "Pink" is the kind of web series that florishes on the web, utilizing great production values and compelling direction to pose a lot of questions -- and promise some explosive answers.
A lot of "Pink"'s appeal comes from the fierce charm of lead actress Natalie Raitano, a series regular on the syndicated hit VIP and the show's executive producer. Raitano ably manages the quieter dramatic moments -- the transition to bigger action should be extremely interesting.
Creator/Producer/Director/Editor Blake Calhoun has directed three features, but decided that he wanted to do something "small" before beginning his fourth. This quickly proved to be an erroneous assumption, as the series has now become a full-time job. Shot in Dallas/Ft. Worth this summer, the ten episode series will conclude in November.
The fourth episode of "Pink" debutes Sept. 25th. I, for one, look forward to finding out what comes next.
