Is the American Dream dead? This short doc about illegal immigrants trying to make a life for themselves in the U.S. leaves little doubt the optimism of the Ellis Island days are long gone.

I enjoyed this short documentary about immigration reform. I believe that many illegal immigrants should be granted amnesty and that border control should then be bolstered. Immigration policy has adapted to allow seasonal work permits and temporary visas. One concern is a comment from one of the gentlemen in the documentary who said that he didn't want citizenship, he just wanted to work and make american wages then go back to Mexico with his family. Amnesty for illegal immigrants should be for those seeking refuge, those seeking a new home, those seeking citizenship. "Give me your poor, your tired, your huddles masses longing to be free. . ."
