As we say in our family, it's not Christmas until someone wants to gouge out their eyes; hence, behold the terrifying splendor of the 1978 STAR WARS Holiday Special. No human has ever willingly sat through the whole thing, but thanks to YouTube, you can find out exactly why. Happy Life Day!

I missed this special back in 1978, or I think we came to our senses and turned off this dreck even though we loved watching Star Wars. George Lucas was right to keep this thing from ever being seen again. Although it is interesting to note that Mark Hamill had not yet endured the reconstructive plastic surgery which would happen between the first two films. That was a flashback I think we could all do without!
