You Bring Me Down

This video for the band Blood Red Shoes was made with no regard for the ease of greenscreen technology. It may have taken more effort to make, but the clip's got a DIY funkiness that's hard not to appreciate.

The filming was all done in our hometown of brighton, most of it was shot in one continuous 18-hour period (10am sat until 5am the following sunday morning). The director steve didn't want to blue-screen us on a background he wanted the real deal, so we ran around as many interesting-looking places in brighton as we could and played in each location. then the middle section with me drumming rolling backwards was shot on a separate day, where they built a trolley and pushed me along as fast as they could.
